Reunion Makeup

Hate it or Love it, reunion makeup is a thing lol! So much so that people request those same looks by their makeup artists. And makeup artists want to recreate those looks also. We live in a time where people focus a lot of their time on what’s happening on social media and on television.

I don’t know how many times I’ve scrolled passed pictures and saw comments flooded with questions about where someone got their outfit from, who did their makeup, where they get their hair done, etc. Being honest here, depending on the artist, I’ll drop a comment too and ask them a question too lol. There’s no shame in that sis lol. Sometimes I get my answer and sometimes I don’t. But its always worth a shot.

There have been many reunion looks that I absolutely love. To me, it’s like waiting to see someone go to prom. The cast members pull out all the stops. Their makeup is just right, those curls are perfectly curled, and that highlight is brighter than it’s ever been!

The best part as an artist, is watching the artists that actually did the look post it and post the details of the look. That’s when the real fun begins for me! I  love seeing what they used to achieve the look and exploring brands that I’ve never heard of before. For instance, I just found a new (well new to me lol) makeup brand called “Jouer“. I saw their “Skinny Dip” eyeshadow palette. It looked like every shimmery girls dream! I browsed their site and noticed they had a whole makeup line and many other things that I would love to try.

As a cast, the best makeup (since I’ve been watching consistently) is The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I’ve been watching since the last two seasons. And those ladies are always on point!

These were some of my favs. I love when artists mix textures, mix matte with shimmer or glitter, or add shine in places we wouldn’t have thought of right away. I think the point of going over the top is to catch someone’s eye and start a conversation.

These makeup artists are in it for their business’s sake. They’re trying to build their name while pushing their artistic abilities. What are some of your favorite makeup looks from tv shows or movies?
